But if we can move in the forest at this speed, I feel that we can reach the city much faster. Well, that would be obvious because the speed was different, but as I expected, we left the forest much faster than usual. From here on, it will be the main road.
When we entered the main road, our speed increased further. We are now as fast as a human running or it’s as fast as riding a bicycle. As a result, the swaying increases but it is not that severe. The load on the carriage also shakes but it does not bounce, and of course, it does not fall over.
If various types of carriages could run at this speed, instead of the current one-way trip that takes one day, it would be possible to make a one-day trip from the town to the Capital. Even if he tried to stop Kururu with a bow, it would be difficult to hit a target moving at a reasonable speed in their first shot. Anyone who can do that will not be a bandit because there is a way to make a living in this world without being a thief. Nevertheless, we can’t be completely unguarded so we still have to keep our eyes on our surroundings and be alert. I should ask Camilo some news about that rumoured bandit when we get to the store.
The usual guard stood at the entrance of the town. Looking at his weapon, it turned into a halberd. Oh- finally, even the guards in this town were formally trained. The guard seemed a little surprised to see the dragon cart but when he saw us,
“Oh, it’s you guys.”
It seems that he was convinced. Looks like we are thought to be a unique group. Well, since 5 people from 4 different races are together, that may be right.
